Life’s Good With DaVinci the Genius
As mentioned in the title, this great man named Da Vinci made a lot of mankind’s greatest inventions, giving us comfortable lives. At the Da Vinci the Genius exhibition, there were various kinds of his works such as scientific breakthroughs, modern infrastructures, artworks (namely paintings), journals and human anatomy. Pictures were taken for a closer experience of the exhibition.
Being different among his peers, he only does practical thinking. By observing the how nature works, he made countless inventions.
Starting off from the basics, he made simple machines like pulleys, ball bearing, fly wheels, coil springs, cog wheels (gears) and much more. His researches had definitely contributed to the scientific modern world today.

A replica of Leonardo’s invention, the ball bearing reduces frictions and damages (Mainly for the joints of the wheels).

Fly wheels, is designed for conservation of energy with centrifugal force which reduces the energy needed for a rotation, over time.

The compound hoist which uses the pulley principles, reducing the effort needed to lift an object is mainly used on cranes for lifting.

Automatic blocking mechanism is used to lock a load in its position where it’s been lifted without and foreign forces. Most of the roller coasters have this technology to prevent the ride from reversing.
The bird like structure hanging in the exhibition room was one of the ideas of Leonardo, when he thought of flying like a bird in the air. Thus, he studied the structure of the bird’s wings; the aerofoil. His flying machine was added a propeller to bring balance to the flight.

Bringing you the ancestors of helicopters, the picture below shows the diagram of a vertical lifting machine of Leonardo, also by the force of air pressure.

As time is concerned in science, he had also invented the clock which uses the spring and load. This delicate tool is considered as a basic fundamental to the ‘grandfather clock’, before quartz crystal was used to build a clock. Check this out:

The walls of the exhibition rooms were full of the contents of his journal pages, paintings and some sketches of his inventions. P.S: As this blog concerns about how this genius makes our lives better and what the atmosphere of the exhibition was like, his paintings bring much more trouble to mankind of preserving them rather than giving us comfort. Therefore, all I can do is to say that his painting (e.g. The Mona Lisa) had given us a branch of technique in art called ‘sfumato’ and show you some pictures of it.
JOURNAL PAGES (ANATOMY STUDIES)

PAINTINGS (MONA LISA)

PAINTINGS (OTHERS)

At the hall where the other paintings were situated, there was a mini theatre which projects the biography of Leonardo and histories of his works.

The second last hall was filled with his eccentric tools which are used globally today such as submarine, diving suit and paddled boats.

The emergency bridge is supposed to be used in case of emergency, where it is the fastest way to build a bridge. This sophisticated craft uses the interdependent forces to stand by its own.

The last hall is mainly about weaponry. Therefore, I should not say anything about it as it only brings harm to mankind, just to fulfill the qualifications for the blogging. All I can do is to show some pictures of those war weapons such as catapult, multi –cannon chariot, and the tank.
